Not usually, no. But they do have the means to give things that may save lives.

Either way it's clear that there's more than two teams as I don't see Jon giving the mafia two attacks on day one.

As far as who died I don't really see how any one person would be more suspect than the other on day one since nobody knows who anyone else is so the mafia's probably chose randomly or based on who they didn't like so far?

Just got in from shortly after EOD. I am going back to catch up but I see some talk about where everyone is on this page. I wanted to mention something:

The move I submitted was to C2. I'm currently listed in B2. I prayed to the Gamemaker right after EOD but haven't received any response -- not even "Everything is as it's supposed to be".
So, I don't know if I was moved by some force or if it was a mistake.

Apologize if this is something that has been discussed but it seems like good info, if I was moved/redirected.

Huh, interesting. Anyone else not allowed to make the move they submitted?

Between this and the loaded backpack, its too much. If you only started with the pepper spray and the socks, are you saying you got two items last night?

I can't imagine my backpack is an issue (since you all know what I have) but I'll try to be as clear as possible:

Started the game with:

Backpack #1 - Single use socks
Backpack #2 & #3 - Empty
Token: Poison Block

I searched for an item and found the Binoculars.

Arbor, to answer your question: I found one item, the Binoculars.

Everyone started with primary item & a token, right? I'm thinking different people had random backpack items, I had one.

I trained my entire life for these Games and I volunteered to be here. I earned the respect of every member of my district with my great strength and skill. I intend to bring honor to my family.

2. Why do you think you are going to win the 74th Hunger Games? What makes you stand out from the other tributes in the arena?

As I indicated earlier, besides my natural abilities, I have by far the best training. More importantly, inner strength and iron will.

3. If you were trapped with Holden in a room with only a cake, what would you do?

I was born Ture, but an accident during a cattle stampede left me in a coma for 3 weeks and crippled for life. I nearly starved when my family was late with their weekly payments, my life-support went down when the hospital lost power during a thunderstorm (in fact I was technically dead for over a minute), and the wounds on my leg became infected.

I pulled a major faux pas, and left my towel at home, so I would like that. Since a towel is about the most massively useful thing in the universe, and when I wash the blood of off me I would be able to dry myself.

I never meant to lead you astray. When I mentioned the flowers I thought we could move diagonally. When I realized we couldn't, I felt like my next best choice was to head toward the water. A girl's gotta make plans to survive somehow. Even if you you and your friends in the alliance are gonna take another shot at me.

My little brother, Olive. He's eleven. Next year will be his first year in the Reaping. I want him to know that I am coming home soon and he will never have to put his name in for tessarae.

On hot summer days I try to find my way into a server room. They keep those areas nice and deliciously cool. I always bring with me a paper cup filled with ice shavings, and would drizzle some berry juice into it. Don't tell her I told you this, but my mother is not only a whiz with circuit boards, but she has a green thumb, and she always knows where to find the juiciest wild berries growing in our district. The purple ones are my favorites. That's why I wanted to go to the pretty purple flowers. They remind me of my mom.
